I’M A Celebrity bosses are reportedly hoping for the “sexiest series yet” after deliberately picking stunning stars for the latest stint in the jungle.
With a host of celebrities also being single, The Daily Star reports that they hope that a romance to compete with the likes of the Katie Price and Peter Andre connection.
According to the paper, the celebs picked for this reason include Saturdays star Vanessa White, Jack Maynard, and Made in Chelsea’s Georgia Toffolo.
A source told them: “Love Island showed how much viewers love that and bosses want a slice of the action. There's real excitement about the line-up. For once, a lot of the names haven't been leaked and there are some surprises.
"Everyone behind the scenes is buzzing."
Georgia recently reconciled with her student boyfriend James Middleton just before heading into the jungle, but Vanessa, Jack and Jamie Lomas are all single.
Vanessa in particular split from boyfriend Gary Salter earlier this year, so could be on the lookout for love.
The news comes just as this year’s stars have landed in Australia ahead of launch night next week.
These include Toff, former footie ace Dennis Wise, and Vanessa White.
We have also revealed that boxer Amir Khan has also agreed to a deal to enter the jungle – just after reconciling with his pregnant wife Faryal Makhdoom.
Khan, 30, had previously wobbled over his participation in I’m A Celeb, citing his Muslim faith as an issue with some of the ITV show’s eating trials.
But last night he landed in Brisbane, where he was expected to join campmates after talks with bosses.
A source told us: “It’s been touch and go for a while, but now that he’s in Australia they’re confident he’ll end up in the camp — even though it isn’t yet signed and sealed.
“ITV have been trying to get him to do the show for years so this is a real coup for them. They think he’ll make great TV.
“They had hoped that as a newly-single man there could be a jungle romance with some of the sexy singletons there. But that’s now looking unlikely.
