A LANDLADY has posed in her underwear for a calendar she hopes will pay off her court fines.
Julie Stoddern, 49, has been slapped with £6,000 in penalties for overcrowding her home with tenants.
She came up with the unconventional scheme after struggling to clear her debts.
She said: “I did the modelling to get attention and to get some money. I’m going to turn the pictures into a calendar, I need to get a publisher now.
“I’m hoping this will help me pay off the fines.
“I’ve been fined twice now, the first one was for around five thousand and another for just over a thousand.
“I got the first one in 2011 and the most recent one was two months ago.
“I just started a new job as a careworker but it’s not enough to pay, because obviously they have restricted me with the numbers we can get in the house.
“A lot of people are getting involved, lots of people have contacted me offering help.
“One person said he had a full size tank I can use, another offered a tractor.
“No one was listening to me when I was screaming and shouting, so I thought I’d use my body. People are always telling me I’ve got a teenager’s body.”
Julie says she hopes her stunt will also raise awareness of the lack of support she believes she gets for her work trying to get vulnerable people off the streets.
The photos have been taken at various locations around Camborne and Redruth in Cornwall as well as London, where Julie went for a professional photoshoot.
Julie, from Camborne, said she has won awards for her charitable work helping former criminals, addicts, and homeless.
But she has also been fined twice for having too many of them in her home.
Her latest appearance at court in June was the result of having 11 people staying in her four-bedroom house with some in a caravan on the drive.
She added: “It’s been a hell of a year when you look back on it.
“Some of the lads have said I’ve got a better bum than their girlfriends and we’ve sorted a yacht for a photoshoot in Marazion soon.
“It’s happening everywhere and it’s unbelievable really.”
“I am going to keep going and need to raise money and awareness.
“All I get is housing benefit, more or less £67 per head, which doesn’t even cover the mortgage.
“Every day my phone is ringing off the hook with more people needing help and I’ve had interest from all around the world.”
