Nepal is rich in water resources.Due to the economic obstacles it’s too difficult for a development country like Nepal, to invest in hydro electricity. Beside this the Country had generate electricity from air too but in few range. It has been done in Kagbani , Nepal ( a village 7.5 north to the mustang’s headquarter Jomsom) but due to weak administration it has been ruined in less than 6 month of establishment.
Again a smile has been seen in the Nepalese because Buddha Power Pvt.ltd (pokhara) has generated 1.5 KW capacity of electricity in Jomsom. The electricity has been connected to the 3 houses too. The company director Puskar Timilsina told that it is Just a test, and they will start a project within a month.The Company claims that the power depends upon the speed of the wind blowing. A study in the mustang shows that due to powerful wind blowing it is possible to generate electricity in mustang villages like Muktinath,kagbeni,Jomsom,Marpha and kobang.
