THIS is the heart-stopping moment a child narrowly avoided death when he ran out into a road in front of a massive lorry.
Hair-raising footage shows the youngster end up in a perilous situation after walking behind a bus into the path of the large vehicle.
Sheer panic grips the child as he emerges from behind the bus he's just got off and sees the vehicle charging towards him.
Truck driver Tor Bjørn Kyrkjebø was left stunned when he witnessed the close call in Høyanger, Norway, on June 19.
He watched as five children departed the bus in front but two tried to cross the road, oblivious to what was coming in the opposite lane.
Kyrkjebø told NRK: "I saw what was about to happen, but there was little I could do.
"I saw over the roof of the bus the truck was heading at it at a great speed. I blinked my lights and horn to alert the traffic and young people."
Thankfully, the driver of the red and white truck somehow stops before hitting the child.
Kyrkjebø said the near-miss was "horrible to see".
He has released his dash-cam footage to warn children about the potential dangers near busy roads.
Bus company Brakar said their driver had dropped off at an approved stop but it would investigate to avoid "similar unfortunate episodes in future".
Heart-stopping footage showed the moment a cyclist was almost crushed to death by a 100mph train at a level-crossing, and dramatic CCTV also captured another close call at a railway crossing in New Zealand.
