GravityLight: lighting for the developing countries

As per the recent data about 21% (1.5 Billions) of the world's population, are out of reach of reliable access to the electricity. In several countries, the electricity is also impossible because of constant electricity production and rapid population growth. Lack of these people relay biomass fuels - predominantly kerosene for – light. Burning kerosene for a hour produce 2.5 kg of carbon dioxide, which seems the a huge contribution of CO2 for environment. Kerosene lights are with poor quality, they cause eye infections and the smoke from the flame is also harmful for the health

Hats off for two British designers for the revolutionary invention of the Gravity Light. Gravity Light store energy and create illumination. It provides the light by slow lowering of a weight. Only 3 seconds of lifting the weight to lift powers gravity light,The light works up to 30minutes per lift. Then, again lift up the weight to charge it again.
Isn’t it wonderful. Just we can light the the world with the Gravity Light. Now developing country no more to remain under the dark. Again hats off for the great minds Jim Reeves and Martin Riddiford.
