Late Madan Kumar Bhandari a great Nepali communist leader.He was born in June 27, 1952  Dhungesangu ,Taplejung, Nepal. He got his formal education fron Medibung School ,Taplejung and further education from Varanasi, India. In1972 he meet Pushpa Lal Shrestha  in a student movement launched by  Shrestha. CPN(UML)  leader Bhandari view "People's Multiparty Democracy" system, led his party as the strongest communist party of Nepal for many  years even after his death.

In 1993 Madan Kumar Bhandari died,in a car accident in Dasdhunga, chitwan. Many of the people believe that was not the accident but a murder.
